I wasn't expecting much considering this diner is attached to a gas station, along with a McDonalds restaurant. We actually had planned on eating at McDonalds, but decided to give Tuuvi a try. I ordered an open face, hot beef sandwich, served on Indian fry bread, covered with gravy, with choice of mash potatoes or French fries. The food was hot, very good, and the portions were huge! More than I could eat! I think I paid about $9

Only non- fast food place in town. Salad was great. Didn't know it would have deli meat on it. Burger was pretty good too. Hamburgers are hard to ruin. Not the best nor the worst. Glad to have avoided fast food for dinner. Good for the location!! Missing city food right now though- if you are passing through, then I would wait to eat in a bigger town.

This place is a gas station, kind of a weird spot. The 3 stars for this place are based solely on the poor service. The food was GREAT. The famous tuvvi taco was worth the bad service. Glad we tried the local suggestions and left the Denny's alone. **order a side of the fry bread! It's a must

The double cheeseburger on fry bread is enough food for 2! We got regular fries because the curly fry machine was down--they were fresh and perfectly cooked (crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and they stay straight when you hold them up vertically...hate limp fries). We also got the roast beef sandwich--just a few slices of overcooked meat. The fry bread taco was pretty good. (Beware, the iPhone map app sent us to the wrong place, even though yelp shows the correct location, so don't use the map app for directions)

I stopped here for a late breakfast on the road from Flagstaff / Grand Canyon to the Four Corners. As far as I can tell, this is one of the best options in the area, and certainly the best one at this exit. I saw that I could either choose Denny's or Tuuvi, so I went with the local option to support a small business. I had an omelet. It was simple, but they used fresh ingredients. It was classic comfort food that can fill you up for a long road trip ahead. Additionally, this definitely is a local joint - the people are friendly and Tuuvi serves some Hopi foods as well. If you stop in Tuba city, especially around breakfast-time, give this local business a chance!

I ate a delicious vegetarian Tuvvi Taco, which is perfectly cooked fry bread with beans, cheese, tomatoes, onions and lettuce with a roasted green chile on top. The cafe is inside a gas station/truck stop, which adds to the charm. Local people in the kitchen is a Keats a good sign here. The food tasted great and the other dishes I saw served looked authentic and smelled good.

We were greeted by our server immediately and given menus. Once we ordered our two frybread tacos, we only waited about ten minutes or so until they were delivered to our table. The chili, chile pepper, lettuce, tomato, and cheese on top were pretty standard. But the frybread on which they sat--oh, it was delectable. At once crispy and fluffy, cooked to a perfect golden color, it was the perfect pillow for the taco's innards. Highly recommend.

Had their friday green chili and corn stew with lamb. It was lean and delicious. Had their homemade tortilla and it was good too.

Headed out of state, was looking for a Navajo Taco... bless you Yelp, with your help I found one! Tuuvi Cafe located in a travel gas center at one of the main intersections in Tuba City. It's located on the left-handside of the center. Walk up to order and pay, I'm not going to lie, the line had only 3 people in front of me and it took forever; however, good things come to those who wait! I ordered 2 Navajo tacos. Chili topped with lettuce, tomatos, cheese, roasted green chili and a side of sour cream. The frybread was thick and fluffy. No skimping here on the chili or toppings. It was amazingly good. Must stop for us from now on anytime we drive through.

Look, it ain't much, but it's literally in the middle of nowhere. So, just for that, it gets 4 stars. I honestly can't remember what I ordered (some sort of non-descript "safe" something which was fine), but my wife ordered what they call a "taco." But it isn't the kind of taco you're probably familiar with. It's HUGE and made of an enormous deep-fried bread. If we ever ramble through this part of the world again, that's what I'm ordering! And the staff (all Hopi Indians) was very friendly and helpful. The only thing keeping it from a 5-star was the flies. But, again, what else do you expect for being an oasis in the wilderness???

Oh boy. Fell for the Yelp four star okey doke again. I figured that instead of fast food we would visit the charming local cafe. Ugh. We tried the Tuuvi burger, which is literally two full burgers side by side and fry bread. And no knife to cut them apart. Fries were soggy and vastly under cooked. Burger was your standard frozen patty and iceberg lettuce with Kraft cheese. Nice staff, and clean, but food is not very good, unfortunately. Of course, there doesn't seem to be anything else within 100 miles, but geez Louise, someone rated this place five stars. Damn you Yelp!

Located on the Hopi reservation, the food is delicious and more than what you paid for. The Staff welcome you at the door and you can sit where ever you want. Servers approach with friendly smiles and smile throughout the entire time. I ordered the Tuuvi burger and it was delivered hot and fast. Definitely worth more than what you pay.

We stopped here after an appointment in Tuba City for gas before driving back to Phoenix. I had been wanting to eat here for months, but never managed to make it. I'm glad I finally did. The fry bread burger was excellent. I didn't get the meal with fries and I'm glad - the burger was plenty! Without onions the flavor for me was perfect. The fry bread was delicious. This was an excellent meal to have on the go prior to a long drive back to Phoenix. Two of these burgers fed myself, my wife, and our 5 year old daughter with ease. I will definitely be back to enjoy more of their menu offerings.

Great place. Food was fresh and tasted good. While you're waiting check out the gift shops. Glad we came here.

Interesting place to stop for a bite to eat. We were running out of options and we actually thought this was a McDonald's due to the large M sign outside (pointing to a McD about 5 miles away). I had the fry bread hamburger. A bit awkward to eat on the go. This burger comes with two patties side by side. My recommendation is to make one with a single burger and just use one piece of fry bread and then have the 2 patty option as the "Large" option. Good food in a pinch.

Still waiting for someone to wait on me. :( been sitting here for 10 minutes. Definitely a waste of my lunch hour. Waitress said she will be right with me but yep still waiting. Hope their food isn't as shitty as their service.

OK in a pinch in a town with little choice. Kind of greasy fry bread. Good beef stew, clean bathrooms.

The food was good, descent service. It is hidden in a gas station convenient store. Had the veggie taco... The small was more than one person can eat. My husband ordered the regular tuuvi taco & again too much to eat. Not a bad place for lunch.

It took 40 minutes to get a burger and a salad. -2 stars. Said burger and salad were not good. Edible but really on the poor side, -2. The staff was very nice although at the end of the meal when the waitress asked if I wanted a refill and I declined, she then took the remaining quarter of my drink. ???

So, your driving across the Rez and forgot to pack a lunch and you dislike going to the Fast Food places. Try this place. It's actually good. Good food, good service. I ate a breakfast burrito (hand made tortilla) on my way to Moab and had lunch there on my way back to Flag.
